Green Valley Thurs 15 August 2013

Our Monthly Away Game will be played at Green Valley on the 15th August 2013.

Tee-off will be off both front and back tees at 7:22am. Please be at the course no later than 7am.

It will be an Individual Stableford Event.

Green Fee/Caddy Fee 1150baht each.  Golf Cart 600baht.

A Buffet is available in the club house after the game for 150 baht per person. Western & Thai Food. If you intend to partake in the buffet it would pay to advise your club captain or committee by email so we can advise the caterers in advance especially if it is a popular choice as we would not want the food to run out.  Also remember if you elect to order 'a la carte' from the menu that you have to pay service charge and tax on top of your order choice.

24 members made the short trip to the Royal Chiang Mai Golf Course for our Monthly Away game in todays "2 Man Best Ball Net Score" format.

 

We started 15 minutes before our scheduled time all from the Tee Box of Hole #1.

 

The weather cooperated by providing us with nice cloud cover throughout the whole competition with only slight drizzle.

 

Royal was in the best shape we have seen it in a while. The fairways are in great shape and the greens (putting on the slow side) were receiving good shots very well. The majority did not loose any Balls, which is always a good sign.

 

As to the Winners of todays event, coming in tied for a second place with a Net Score of 66 were the Teams Peter Hadden (aka Smiley) / Mike Neun and Lennart Larsson / Richard Brown.

The first place went to Allan Gariano / Gary Cooke with a stunning net of 61.

Congratulations to the Winners and Runner up. Well played.

 

The Committee want to thank all participants for their continued support of the Chiang Mai Social Golfers.

Back in the Club house the Service and food were excellent.

Please be advised that for every twosome going to Royal Chiang Mai Golf Course the offer of Baht 1.500 including Caddy and a shared cart will be valid all the way through October 31, 2013.
